Software Development Engineer - R&D

Who we are

We at Agara believe voice conversations should be without friction, without barriers, and without frustration. Pushing the boundaries of deep learning, we are building ubiquitous, pleasant, and meaningful machine-led voice conversations accessible to all. Agara's AI voice agents talk to customers around the globe. Most of our work involves building conversational AI systems that use speech technology and natural language processing.

What you'll do

Design and build scalable and robust tools required for both internal and external use by machine learning, engineering and data teams. These tools will be used for data collection, testing, analytics and data management.

We require that you have

B.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

Relevant work experience of 4+ years

Enthusiastic to work in a fast-paced environment, along with machine learning scientists and software engineers

Familiarity with cloud service platforms (AWS / GCP), and understanding of web applications

Experience building REST APIs

Database experience working with Postgres / MySQL / Redis

Familiarity with front-end technologies (like JavaScript and HTML5)

Expertise in at least one popular Python framework (like Django, Flask or Pyramid)

Bonus if you have

Previous experience building tools for machine learning and data teams
