2027 Engineering Internship Program
Our 8 month program provides you with:
Work on a real-life engineering project to support our integrated offshore and onshore production system
Experience the work environment of a world-class global energy company, including opportunities to visit our operating sites
A dedicated support system of buddies and mentors to assist with your project, providing you with regular and structured feedback
Meaningful interactions with senior management, industry experts and other internship members and alumni
Continuous development of your technical and behavioural skills, in addition to key competencies such as communication, initiative, adaptability and leadership
Opportunity to join our social networks and Employee Resource Groups that celebrate diversity and inclusion
The chance to be assessed for a position in our Graduate Development Program
Working at Woodside Energy, you will have a real role in our business working an array of interesting and technically challenging projects, including site visits and mentoring by experienced engineers. You will have access to industry training, leading-edge technology, a network of highly talented colleagues and the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills and expertise throughout your internship.
Our program runs for eight months between March and October, where you may be based at our head office in Melbourne or at one of our processing facilities in Hastings or Sale. Our extended program gives you an opportunity to immerse yourself in real projects, develop deeper technical and professional skills, and build meaningful connections that can shape your career.

Eligibility
Our Engineering Internship Program is designed for students completing their studies at Australian Universities.
You are eligible to apply to our 2027 Engineering Internship Program if you are:
Studying/studied an undergraduate, Honours, Post Graduate, Masters or PHD in Engineering at an Australian University.
In your penultimate (second to last year) or completed studies in 2026.
Have full-time working rights for the duration of the program which runs from 01/03/2027 to 29/10/2027.

We look for innovators and passionate problem solvers from wide range of degrees. No matter your field or background, you share the same values we do – and you can demonstrate it.
