About the role

As a Battery Engineer (open to all levels), you will develop new lithium-ion battery packs for use in Impulse’s next generation space vehicles. You will have the opportunity to contribute to all phases of spacecraft development, from concept to full rate production as part of a fast-paced high reliability environment.

· Develop new lithium‑ion battery packs to meet mission requirements
· Own full product lifecycle
· Interface with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing and test teams
· Generate electrical, structural, and thermal models

· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field · Years of professional experience in battery development · Familiarity with lithium‑ion battery qualification and safety standards (ie UN 38.3) · Hands on experience troubleshooting electronics · Ability to communicate technical challenges, explain rationale and/or resolve concerns
