Description
This is an opportunity to join the IERUS team as a Manufacturing Engineer supporting a large Missile Defense Agency (MDA) program.
Responsibilities
Implement manufacturing processes, procedures and equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling.
Utilize computer aided manufacturing software to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement.
Create and analyze 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions.
Leverage understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence.
Investigate and initiate corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence.
Integrate reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement.
Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or a related engineering discipline preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
5+ years previous experience as a manufacturing engineer in a production environment.
Knowledge of manufacturing principles and/or production line setup, launch and/or development.
Experience creating manufacturing work instructions and/or standard operating procedures.
Knowledge of manufacturing bill of materials, creation, edit, and/or maintenance.
Must be a U.S. Citizen with an Active DoD Secret clearance.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in Aerospace manufacturing reviewing engineering, producibility, writing work instructions/SOPs, Windchill EPDM, Creo, SAP experience is a plus.
Prior experience with THAAD and FMB programs preferred.
