We are looking for an AI Lead focused on developer productivity - someone who can help our engineering teams use AI to build software faster, with higher quality, and with less friction.

About the job:
The primary mission of this role is improving developer productivity through AI.

This is not a traditional machine learning or AI research role. Instead, the focus is on identifying practical ways AI can improve how developers work every day.

You will act as an AI lighthouse for our engineering organization, introducing AI tools, workflows, and prompt engineering practices that measurably improve developer productivity.

The role will initially focus on hands-on experimentation and high-impact initiatives, with the potential to grow into a small AI productivity function over time.
What You'll get to do:

Drive AI-Powered Developer Productivity:
Identify opportunities where AI can improve development workflows

Introduce AI-assisted coding, testing, debugging, and documentation workflows

Reduce repetitive work and improve engineering velocity

Prompt Engineering & AI Workflows:

Develop prompt libraries and playbooks for common engineering tasks

Teach developers how to interact effectively with AI tools

Establish repeatable AI workflows across engineering teams

AI Tooling & Internal Solutions:

Evaluate and introduce AI tools that enhance developer productivity

Prototype internal AI assistants for tasks such as codebase navigation, documentation, and knowledge discovery

Enable AI Adoption:

Run workshops and share best practices

Help teams adopt AI tools and workflows effectively across the organization

Success Metrics

Success in this role will be measured through tangible improvements in developer productivity, such as:

Faster development cycle times

Reduced time spent on repetitive tasks

Increased adoption of AI-assisted workflows

Improved developer experience and onboarding speed

What we’re looking for:
Background in software engineering, developer tooling, platform engineering, or developer productivity

Hands-on experience using AI tools or LLMs to support software development

Strong understanding of modern developer workflows

Experience with prompt engineering and AI-assisted development tools

Ability to influence engineering teams and drive adoption of new practices

Strong English communication skills

The ideal candidate actively experiments with AI tools in their own development workflows and has experience applying AI to improve software engineering productivity. Here's what we offer:

Start with 22 days of annual leave, with 2 additional days added each year, up to 32 days by your fifth year with us.

Hybrid work schedule is available after the first three months of employment, with up to 50 days of work from home per year.

Benefit from two Free Fridays each year, limited to one per quarter.

3 sick leave days per year, no doctor's note required.

Daily catered lunch or monthly lunch allowance.

Private Medical Subscription.

Access online learning platforms like Udemy for Business and LinkedIn Learning, and a budget for external training.

Access to an Employee Assistance Program through TELUS Health.

Our office perks include parking, on-site massages, and frequent team-building activities in various locations. And did we mention our amazing office space complete with its own pool and gym?
