THE ROLE

Lead our entire California engineering team as the engineering leader for our Sunnyvale office. Your team owns critical parts of our edge AI platform, cloud infrastructure, and customer-facing engineering. This is a hands-on technical leadership role: you'll set direction and grow the team, but stay close to the code through architecture, review, and debugging. You'll start managing the engineers, growing significantly within a year as we scale 2–3x, and work directly with the CTO, CEO, and Product.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Reached Staff / very senior IC level and spent a couple of years there before moving into management (typically after ~4–5 years engineering).

- Current or prior experience managing engineers (Tech Lead Manager or Engineering Manager).

- Deep strength in at least one of: distributed / real-time systems (e.g. C++), robotics / AI, or HPC.

- Time inside an established top-tier engineering culture with exposure to how a 50–100+ person org operates.

- A strong hiring track record and a high bar for what "great" looks like.

- Still genuinely hands-on and motivated by ownership, impact, and shaping the product.
